GTA 6 Radio Stations Revealed: Rockstar Announces Six Stations for Leonida

Rockstar Games has officially revealed the first major batch of GTA 6 radio stations, giving players a new look at the music and audio experience waiting for them across Leonida.

In a new Rockstar Newswire announcement published on October 8, the studio confirmed six stations covering a wide range of genres, from modern Latin music and African sounds to classic metal, country, pop, and Southern rap.

Rockstar says Grand Theft Auto VI will feature the biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio in the series so far.

But the radio isn’t the only major change. For the first time, Rockstar is also introducing on-demand podcasts, while Jason and Lucia will be able to listen to radio and podcasts away from vehicles using new headphones and earbuds connected to their smartphones.

Here is everything Rockstar has officially revealed so far.

GTA 6 Will Have More Radio Than Ever

Radio has always been one of the most important parts of the Grand Theft Auto experience, and Rockstar is expanding that feature even further in GTA 6.

The stations will cover different musical styles and parts of Leonida, giving players plenty of options while driving around Vice City and the wider state.

Rockstar has currently revealed six stations.

Cocoteo FM

Cocoteo FM will be Leonida’s home for modern Latin music.

Hosted by El Martillo and La Gata, the station will feature a mixture of bachata, merengue, dembow and reggaeton.

Rockstar describes Cocoteo FM as a station built around an ongoing party atmosphere, making it another major part of the musical identity of Leonida.

For players looking for modern Latin sounds while travelling around the state, this will be one of the stations to watch.

Back Country Radio

Country music fans are also getting their own dedicated station with Back Country Radio.

Hosted by MW and Delta Dawne, the station will focus on renegade country music across areas including the Grassrivers and Port Gellhorn.

Rockstar is also adding some personality to the station through its characters and broadcasts.

Players will hear from Back Country’s roving reporter and swamp meteorologist, while Mud Dog Mike will also make appearances from the driver’s seat of his Grassrivers airboat.

That should make Back Country Radio feel like more than just a collection of songs.

AfroBank FM

Rockstar is also bringing a major selection of African music to GTA 6 through AfroBank FM.

The station is hosted by Burna and Palmsy, who will curate music ranging from 20th-century classics and undiscovered tracks to modern sounds.

Rockstar specifically highlighted genres including amapiano and 3-step, alongside other African music.

This gives GTA 6 another very different musical identity compared with previous games in the series.

The Chamber 106.6

For players who prefer something heavier, Rockstar has confirmed The Chamber 106.6.

The station is dedicated to metal, with DJ Kerry and DJ Tom hosting the broadcasts.

The Chamber will focus on classic metal from the 1980s and beyond, while also reflecting Leonida’s deep metal culture.

So if you’re looking for something loud while driving through Vice City, Rockstar has clearly got you covered.

Flash FM

One of the most recognizable names returning to the GTA universe is Flash FM.

The Vice City institution will once again focus on pop music, this time with Robyn and Alex behind the microphone.

Rockstar says Flash FM will deliver music designed to make players dance regardless of where they are in the Goodtime State.

Its return is particularly interesting because Flash FM is already strongly associated with the Vice City identity from previous Grand Theft Auto games.

Dirty South Classics

Finally, Rockstar has revealed Dirty South Classics, hosted by Trick and Trina.

The station will focus on regional rap and hip-hop classics, representing the Southern side of Leonida.

From the beaches to the neighborhoods, Rockstar says the station will represent Leonida and the South.

That gives GTA 6 another distinct musical option, especially for players who want classic Southern rap and hip-hop while exploring the map.

GTA 6 Is Introducing Podcasts for the First Time

The biggest change isn’t necessarily another radio station.

For the first time in the series, GTA 6 will introduce on-demand podcasts.

These podcasts will give Jason and Lucia something to listen to beyond Leonida’s traditional radio stations.

That could make the audio experience feel much more personal, especially during quieter moments when players are simply exploring the world.

Rockstar has not yet revealed the full list of podcasts or their hosts, so there is clearly more information coming.

You Won’t Need to Be Inside a Car to Listen

Another major addition is the ability to listen to radio and podcasts while on foot.

Jason and Lucia will have newly introduced headphones and earbuds connected to their smartphones, allowing players to continue listening even after leaving a vehicle.

This is a significant change from the traditional GTA radio system.

Instead of the music stopping when you step out of a car, players will have another way to keep listening while walking around Leonida.

It also fits with Rockstar’s broader approach to making Jason and Lucia feel like characters who actually live in the world rather than simply moving between missions.

Rockstar Is Keeping More Music Details Secret

Rockstar has only revealed six stations for now, meaning this is not the complete GTA 6 radio lineup.

The studio says more information will be coming, including details about Grand Theft Auto VI’s dynamic score and additional singles from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album.

That means today’s announcement is essentially the first major look at the game’s wider music system rather than the final reveal.

Rockstar is also allowing fans to listen to previews of the six newly revealed stations through the official GTA 6 Music section.

GTA VI: The Album Will Feature 34 Original Tracks

Rockstar also reminded fans about Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album.

The album will contain 34 original tracks featuring a genre-defying selection of artists.

Fans can already pre-save the album, while physical versions will also be available on vinyl and CD.

This follows Rockstar’s recent music announcements and gives GTA 6 another major connection between its in-game world and real-world music.

We’ve already seen huge interest surrounding the album, with the first batch of GTA 6 music generating millions of Spotify streams.

More GTA 6 Music Details Are Coming

Today’s announcement gives us a much clearer idea of how important music will be in GTA 6.

There will be stations covering Latin music, country, African music, metal, pop and Southern rap, while podcasts will provide another form of entertainment.

And unlike previous games, players won’t necessarily have to stay inside a vehicle to enjoy it.

The combination of traditional radio, on-demand podcasts, smartphones, headphones and a dynamic score could make GTA 6’s audio experience the most extensive Rockstar has created.

But Rockstar isn’t finished yet.

The studio has already confirmed that more information about the dynamic score and additional GTA VI: The Album singles is coming.

With GTA 6 scheduled to release on November 19, 2026, there is still plenty more for Rockstar to reveal before Jason and Lucia officially arrive in Leonida.
