New GTA 6 Details Reveal Deeper World Interaction, Dynamic Events, Physical Loot and More

More GTA 6 details are beginning to reach the English-speaking community following a preview shared by Spanish content creator Rubius (Rubius5).

The information was translated into English by Reddit user u/El_Pintor64, with the original sources provided alongside the translated material. The preview reportedly offers a closer look at several gameplay systems that Rockstar Games has not fully demonstrated publicly.

From highly interactive safehouses and physically simulated objects to dynamic crimes, detailed robberies, vehicle physics and changing character bodies, the new details suggest that Grand Theft Auto VI could take world interaction significantly further than previous entries in the series.

GTA 6 Safehouses Could Be Extremely Interactive

One of the most interesting revelations concerns Jason and Lucia’s safehouses.

According to the translated preview, Rubius began his free-roam session inside an apartment belonging to Jason and Lucia that had not previously been shown. Almost everything inside could reportedly be interacted with.

Doors could be opened and closed, light switches could be physically turned on and off, and even opening a bottle had its own animation. The liquid inside the bottle also appeared to respond with physics.

Rubius reportedly said that the previously discussed rumours surrounding role-playing and world interactivity are genuine, describing the safehouse as a place where almost every object can be interacted with.

Electric Scooters Are Fully Rideable

GTA 6’s electric scooters are reportedly more than simple background props.

Jason can ride them and even attack pedestrians while moving. During the preview, Rob reportedly demonstrated the mechanic by kicking an NPC while riding a scooter.

The game also appears to allow players to use vehicle doors offensively. While driving, Jason can swing the driver’s door open, potentially striking pedestrians or even other vehicles.

Dogs Can React Differently to Jason and Lucia

The game’s dogs reportedly have their own interaction system rather than simply functioning as decorative animals.

Players cannot necessarily walk up to every dog and immediately pet it. Instead, they can interact with the owner and ask for permission.

Dogs may respond differently depending on the situation, with some barking or refusing the interaction. Owners can also react differently, with certain NPCs reportedly becoming hostile.

Even dog leashes appear to have physical simulation. Rubius reportedly walked into a dog’s leash and saw it react to Jason’s body rather than simply clipping through the character.

GTA 6’s World Can Create Unexpected Crime Events

One of the biggest takeaways from the preview is how GTA 6’s open world can seemingly create chains of events without the player deliberately triggering them.

Rubius reportedly encountered a major traffic jam caused by a crashed vehicle. The crash was not something he had started.

The people involved in the crash turned out to be masked criminals, with stolen loot scattered across the road. Rather than becoming involved in a traditional scripted mission, Rob simply killed the criminals and took the loot.

The situation then escalated into a police chase.

This suggests that GTA 6’s world may be capable of generating spontaneous events that can develop into entirely different situations depending on how the player reacts.

NPC Witnesses Could Actually Identify You

The wanted system may also be more sophisticated than simply committing a crime and waiting for the police to appear.

According to the preview, NPC witnesses can recognise details about the player during a crime.

People caught in the traffic jam reportedly recognised Lucia’s clothing and vehicle before calling the police. This could mean that witness reports play a more important role in identifying the player.

If accurate, GTA 6 could make police responses feel more connected to what actually happened rather than relying entirely on an abstract wanted-level system.

Breaking Into Cars Could Include a Minigame

Vehicle theft is reportedly becoming more interactive as well.

Breaking into certain vehicles can involve manipulating the lock using the analogue sticks. Different tools may be available depending on the vehicle, while quietly forcing the lock could allow players to avoid triggering the alarm.

This appears to expand upon the previously reported Slim Jim and key-cloning mechanics.

Car trunks can also reportedly be opened physically, with vehicles containing loot that players can steal.

Cars Need Fuel — But Refuelling Shouldn’t Become Annoying

Fuel is reportedly required for vehicles in GTA 6, although Rockstar appears to be taking a relatively relaxed approach to the mechanic.

According to the preview, fuel consumption is deliberately slow because Rockstar does not want players to constantly stop and refuel.

Gas stations can reportedly also be used to repair vehicles.

Jason and Lucia’s Bodies Can Change

GTA 6 may also bring back a more physical approach to character transformation.

Rubius reportedly noticed that Jason appeared significantly more muscular than his usual appearance, while Lucia appeared noticeably fuller than she does in some of the trailers.

Rob reportedly confirmed that the protagonists’ bodies can change depending on factors such as food, exercise and other activities.

That would make the system considerably more visible than simply increasing an invisible character statistic.

GTA 6’s Crash Physics Could Be a Major Upgrade

Vehicle crashes reportedly look significantly more destructive than they did in GTA V.

During free roam, Rubius reportedly experienced a major police collision that triggered a cinematic slow-motion effect. Individual vehicle components visibly deformed, while pieces broke away and flew across the road.

The damaged getaway vehicle eventually became completely undriveable.

Character physics were also reportedly visible during collisions. Police vehicles slammed Lucia into her damaged car, while her body and hair reacted dynamically to the impact.

More Graphic Gore Has Been Reported

The preview also contains claims about significantly more explicit gore.

Rubius reportedly witnessed an NPC being hit directly in the head with a shotgun, resulting in complete decapitation.

However, he reportedly cautioned that he does not know whether the exact level of gore seen in the preview will remain unchanged in the final version of GTA 6.

Hotels Could Be Fully Enterable

One particularly impressive example of Rockstar’s world design reportedly involved a large hotel.

Rubius wanted to reach a rooftop helipad and initially expected the game to use the kind of shortcut or teleportation sometimes seen in open-world games.

Instead, the hotel’s lobby could reportedly be entered and explored.

Players could use either stairs or an elevator to reach the upper floors, eventually arriving at the rooftop helipad — all without a loading screen.

A helicopter was reportedly waiting on the roof and could be stolen.

If representative of the wider game, this could demonstrate just how seamlessly GTA 6 connects interiors with its open world.

Jason Can React When Lucia Leaves Him Behind

The two protagonists may also behave dynamically even when the player changes characters.

During the preview, Rubius and Rob switched to Lucia and flew away in a helicopter, apparently forgetting that Jason had been accompanying them.

Jason then reportedly sent Lucia a message along the lines of:

“Forgetting something? 😂”

The interaction suggests that characters can react to what the player does during free roam rather than simply waiting for the next mission.

Relationship Choices Could Affect Gameplay

Jason and Lucia’s relationship may also have practical gameplay consequences.

According to the preview, abandoning the other protagonist during situations such as shootouts can make them angry.

More importantly, the relationship between Jason and Lucia can reportedly influence how effectively they work together, including during robberies.

This suggests that their relationship system could affect gameplay rather than existing purely for dialogue or story purposes.

At the same time, Rockstar reportedly isn’t relying heavily on stereotypical jealousy mechanics. Jason visiting a strip club does not automatically create relationship drama, and Lucia can apparently accompany him.

Bodies Can Be Hidden Inside Car Trunks

Body disposal also appears to be an actual gameplay mechanic.

The preview claims that corpses can be placed inside car trunks, with Lucia reportedly seen doing this.

Players may also be able to hide themselves inside vehicle trunks, potentially creating another way to escape or conceal themselves.

GTA 6’s Beaches Really Can Become Extremely Crowded

One of the trailer details Rubius reportedly wanted to test was the huge number of people shown on GTA 6’s beaches.

According to the preview, Rockstar explained that NPC population changes depending on the time of day.

The game was switched to the afternoon, and the beach reportedly became heavily populated — resembling the extremely crowded beach scenes shown in promotional material.

This could provide evidence that those enormous crowds aren’t simply pre-rendered scenes or tightly scripted moments.

Sand, Water and Small Objects Have Physical Reactions

Environmental detail reportedly extends down to surprisingly small interactions.

Walking across sand can leave visible deformation from footsteps.

Entering water can make Jason’s clothing and hair visibly wet.

NPC belongings can also react physically. Hitting pedestrians with vehicles can cause objects such as phones and glasses to fly away rather than remaining permanently attached to the character.

These small details could contribute significantly to making Leonida feel more like a living world.

GTA 6 Could Have an Animal Collection System

The game reportedly includes a bestiary-style animal collection system.

Rubius compared the idea to a Pokédex, with animals encountered throughout the world being registered.

This appears to complement the previously reported animal study system.

Full Nudity and a Strange Random Event

The preview also claims that GTA 6 includes full nudity.

Rubius reportedly encountered a completely naked NPC during a random event. The character asks the player to take him home, leading to a side event with its own cinematic sequence and reward.

Rubius reportedly avoided revealing what happens during the event.

The character’s body is also said to have physics-based movement, further demonstrating Rockstar’s focus on physical simulation.

Robberies Could Be Much More Detailed

Perhaps one of the biggest gameplay improvements described in the preview involves robbery planning.

The 3D map can reportedly provide useful information before starting a robbery. When Rubius selected a jewellery store, the map showed an estimated value for the potential loot.

Players can also reportedly examine building layouts and identify possible entrances, including rear entrances.

That means players may be able to plan their approach before arriving rather than simply following a mission marker.

Loot Is Physically Represented

The robbery systems reportedly go even further.

Inside safes, valuable items such as gold bars and diamonds are individual physical objects rather than simply numbers added to the player’s inventory.

If five gold bars are inside a safe, all five can reportedly be physically picked up.

Jason then places the objects into his bag one at a time, with different loot types apparently receiving their own animations.

Even smaller robberies are reportedly more tactile. At petrol stations, players can physically open the cash register and take the money from inside, with Rubius describing the cash as being collected note by note.

Safe Codes Can Be Discovered Through Exploration

Exploration can reportedly make robberies easier.

During the jewellery store robbery, Rubius found a written safe code on an employee’s desk.

Rather than simply being given the combination through a mission objective, the player can apparently discover useful information by examining the environment.

This could encourage players to explore buildings more carefully before taking action.

Interaction Prompts Can Be Disabled

For players who prefer a cleaner interface, Rockstar reportedly allows certain interaction prompts and text elements to be disabled.

Rubius apparently felt that some of the on-screen prompts could make the interface feel cluttered and asked whether they could be removed.

Rob reportedly confirmed that players can turn them off.

First-Person Mode Was Not Yet Implemented

Rubius also reportedly asked Rob Nelson about first-person mode.

At the time of the preview, first-person mode had not yet been implemented in the build he played.

Rubius speculated that it could potentially arrive later alongside a PC release or future console versions, but that remains his own theory rather than confirmed Rockstar information.

A More Physical and Dynamic GTA

Taken together, these details paint a picture of a GTA 6 world built around physical interaction and systemic gameplay.

From physically represented robbery loot and deformable sand to dynamic traffic incidents, witness recognition, character relationships and highly interactive interiors, Rockstar appears to be pushing the idea of a living open world much further.

The most interesting part may be how these systems can connect with one another.

A random crash can lead to criminals appearing, stolen loot being left on the road, witnesses reporting the incident and a police chase developing — all without the player intentionally starting a mission.

If the systems described in this preview remain in the final game, GTA 6 could combine the detailed world simulation associated with Red Dead Redemption 2 with the chaotic freedom that has always defined Grand Theft Auto.

As always, some of these details come from a preview build and should be treated as information from the reported demonstration rather than a guarantee that every mechanic will appear exactly the same way in the final release.

Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026.
