GTA 6 Store Descriptions Changed on Xbox and PlayStation
Rockstar Games has quietly made several changes to the GTA 6 store descriptions on both Xbox and PlayStation.
The updates are not major gameplay announcements, but they change several details across the official listings, including the pre-order deadline, formatting, legal information and even the name of one of the characters included with the Ultimate Edition.
The changes were spotted by comparing the current store listings with archived versions from earlier this month. According to the comparison, the Xbox listing was updated sometime between August 29 and September 4, while the PlayStation listing changed after September 1.
Here is everything that has changed.
PlayStation Store Gets a Clearer GTA 6 Pre-Order Deadline
The PlayStation Store received several small changes to the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition description.
The biggest one concerns the pre-order deadline.
Previously, the listing said players needed to pre-order GTA 6 “before November 20” to receive the Vintage Vice City Pack and one month of GTA+.
The wording has now been made much more specific.
The current PlayStation listing states that the purchase must be made prior to 19 November 2026 at 23:59:59 to receive the Vintage Vice City Pack and one month of GTA+. The official listing also confirms GTA 6 is scheduled for November 19, 2026.

The formatting has also changed. The pre-order benefits that previously appeared as bullet points are now displayed using dashes.
It is a small change, but the updated wording removes some of the ambiguity around exactly when the pre-order offer ends.

Xbox Store Receives More Changes
The Xbox store description appears to have received a few more changes than the PlayStation version.
Just like PlayStation, the GTA 6 Xbox store listing now has clearer wording around the pre-order deadline, while several of the description points have been shortened and reformatted.
One of the more noticeable additions is found in the trademark section.
The word “Vice City” has been added to the list of trademarks shown at the bottom of the Xbox listing.
The current GTA 6 Xbox store listing also contains additional legal wording covering the purchase and use of the game.
That section explains that purchasing the digital product grants a licence subject to Rockstar’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. It also notes that certain features or services may require an internet connection, a Rockstar Games account or additional fees.
The wording also explains that Rockstar can modify or terminate certain features in accordance with its terms.
The Xbox Description Has Been Shortened
Another change affects the actual description of the Ultimate Edition content.
Several of the feature descriptions have been rewritten to make them more concise.
The Xbox listing still includes the major Ultimate Edition content, including exclusive vehicles, weapons, clothing, locations and other bonuses connected to Jason and Lucia’s story.
However, some of the individual descriptions are now shorter than they were in the earlier version.
This does not appear to represent a major change to what the Ultimate Edition contains. Instead, it looks more like Rockstar has been cleaning up the wording used on the store page.

Macca the Gator Finally Gets His Correct Name
There is also a much smaller change that GTA 6 fans may notice.
Both the Xbox and PlayStation descriptions previously referred to the character as “Macca the Aligator.”
That spelling has now been corrected to “Macca the Gator.”
Macca is part of the Goodtime Gear bonus content included with the Ultimate Edition.
The character was previously shown in promotional material for the Ultimate Edition and is described as a fictional TV show character from the Goodtime State.
The current PlayStation listing now correctly describes the bonus as a capsule collection inspired by the Goodtime State’s hit TV show character, Macca the Gator.
Rockstar Is Still Updating GTA 6 Details
These changes may look minor compared with a new trailer or gameplay reveal, but they show that Rockstar is still making adjustments to the official GTA 6 information appearing on digital storefronts.
With the release date getting closer, store pages are becoming increasingly important for players checking editions, bonuses and pre-order information.
Rockstar’s official GTA 6 website currently lists November 19, 2026 as the release date and confirms the game is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
For players following the latest GTA 6 news, these quiet store updates are another reminder that Rockstar continues to refine the information surrounding the game ahead of launch.

What This Means for GTA 6 Players
Nothing in these store-description changes indicates a major new gameplay feature or a change to the announced release date.
Instead, the updates appear focused on making the store information clearer and more consistent.
The PlayStation listing now gives a precise pre-order deadline, while the Xbox page has received additional legal information, a trademark update and shorter descriptions.
And after the small spelling mistake, Macca the Gator finally has his correct name across both platforms.
With November 19 approaching, Rockstar still has plenty of GTA 6 information that fans are waiting to see. Players can also check the official GTA 6 Platforms, Editions, and Versions page for the latest information about the game’s editions, platforms, pre-loading and physical version.
